A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton forced into isolation after show break

Laura Hamilton discusses plans for isolation period

TV star Laura Hamilton took to Instagram last week to tell her followers that she would have to self isolate for five days after flying home from Fuerteventura. The presenter was on the Canary Island to film scenes for the new series of the Channel 4 programme.

The mum-of-two arrived home at midnight on Thursday and was up at 6am the next day to take part in an online workout routine.

She told fans about her isolation period ahead of the exercise session.

The tired TV star said she hadn’t had much sleep but thankfully woke up without the use of an alarm.

Laura, who regularly has COVID-19 tests in order to travel for work, explained that she needs to stay home before she can take her next coronavirus test.

“Good morning, 21 minutes past six, and I walked through the door last night at around midnight,” she told her 116,000 followers on Friday morning.

Ahead of her workout she said: “[I] appreciate that I didn’t give anyone any warning for this this morning but I wasn’t entirely sure I was going to make it, if I’m honest.

“But I have made it and I’m going to do a workout at 6.30.”

“I haven’t had much sleep at all,” She went on to add following her late night travel plans.

Laura continued: “Anyway, I landed last night from Fuerteventura. I am back home now. “Yes, I have to isolate for five days before I go and have a test and then, once I’ve got the results I’ll be out of isolation.

“In the meantime, I’m going to be at home, getting ready for Christmas.”

The Channel 4’s stars isolation period should end today, two days before Christmas, provided she tests negative for the virus.

After filming her last scenes for A Place In The Sun in 2020 and before flying home, Laura gave an update on the picture-sharing site.

“Savouring the last few days of sunshine before returning to the UK,” the 38-year-old wrote online.

The television star shared a photo of herself posing by the sea in a zebra print dress.

“This is the last episode of @aplaceinthesunofficial that I’m filming this side of Christmas, and upon my return I will be isolating at home with my family,” she said.

The star, who shares children Rocco, seven, and Tahlia, five with her husband Alex Goward, went on to talk about her Christmas plans.

“I’m gutted I can’t see extended family or friends until I’m out of isolation but I am so grateful that I’ve been able to film and support the travel and property industry.”

A Place In The Sun continues today on Channel 4 at 4pm.
