Danni Menzies, 33, has become a well-known face on A Place In The Sun, having presented on the series since 2016. As the pandemic changed the way many shows are filmed, the presenter has now spoken out exclusively to Express.co.uk on how she thinks the newer series of the show look “better” despite social distancing.
Like many others, A Place In The Sun has had to adapt while filming due to the pandemic, as they maintain a social distance on set.
Although, Danni, who has worked on the series for five years, has admitted she thinks the series looks better despite having to socially distance from her team and house hunters.
She explained: “I have voice-overed all the shows that I have done and have seen them, and I actually think in some of them, they look better.”
The presenter went on to talk of how their social distancing is hard to notice because of the different camera angles used within the show.
She added: “But you honestly don’t notice – they just sort of filmed it wider so rather than it being close and a headshot of the three of us, it’s a full body shot and we have just got a bit of distance between us.
“Actually, it gives you a bigger picture of where we are and what we’re doing, so I think they look just as good, if not better.
“It also means you get to show your whole outfit off and not just your shoulders.”
A Place In The Sun has been on air for more than two decades and has become a classic of daytime TV.
While the show has had to adapt to new ways of filming, Danni also spoke of how it has allowed it become “fresher”.
The 33-year-old said: “It’s been going such a long time and it’s got a formula that works.
“Now we have had to change up the way we film it a little bit and it makes it feel a bit fresher, and a bit more interesting.”
Danni started filming for the show in August of last year as travel restrictions eased, following on from the first national lockdown.

She wrote: “It’s good to be back @aplaceinthesunofficial.
“Fulled by last nights insane pizza we’re off to a fabulous weeks filming in Italy. Long May it continue.”
Talking of when the show will resume filming again, Danni revealed her fellow presenters are all “dying to get back to it”.
She admitted: “Who knows?
“I mean, I know we have got sort of a group WhatsApp with our execs at A Place In The Sun and all the presenters, and I know everyone is dying to get back to it but obviously, it just needs to be a case of when it’s safe and when it allows.
“I’m hoping sooner rather than later, I think in the next few months I would really hope that we would be back.
“It makes you really appreciate things when suddenly you can’t do them.”
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 3pm.
