Adele holds hands with Alan Carr's husband at star-studded Celine Dion gig

Adele has become the queen of break-up ballad bangers, making us all weep with every album release.

But she’s not the only one to have this power – and last night, the Someone Like You bowed down to her Royal Highness of high notes, Miss Celine Dion.

The superstar performed in front of a packed out crowd at Hyde Park for the first of the British Summer Time gigs, and Adele, 31, made sure she was one of the attendees.

The Grammy award winner, who has split from husband Simon Konecki, was pictured walking into Hyde Park holding hands with a male companion.

But before you start getting any ideas, we’re sure this is strictly platonic – as the man in question was Alan Carr’s husband.

Paul Drayton was pictured leading Adele through the crowd before they settled in for a night of Celine’s tunes – and his hubby Alan joked about the impending gossip about who was holding hands with Adele, tweeting: ‘Adele’s new man is well fit.’

Adele is such close friends with Alan and Paul that she actually officiated their wedding in January 2018 in a Los Angeles ceremony – so really, the perfect person to belt out My Heart Will Go On With.

The Set Fire To The Rain singer has been living her best life when it comes to gigs recently, having achieved her dream of seeing the Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium last month.

Adele wasn’t the only star who showed up to watch Celine in action, as a host of celebs were seen at the gig.

Princess Beatrice was pictured enjoying the concert from the VIP seats, after posing for the cameras in a bird-printed dress.

Myleene Klass was positively blooming as she showed off her huge baby bump in a summery white maxi dress, while Sam Smith was pictured singing his heart out in the crowd.

Perrie Edwards was also pictured in the VIP area, wearing a gingham dress and a denim jacket, while Caroline Flack took a break from the Love Island drama to enjoy the show.

Celine, 51, delivered an incredible set spanning her near-40 year career, belting out hits including Think Twice, It’s All Coming Back To Me Now and All By Myself.

The Canadian star had four costume changes in the show – wearing a blue catsuit, a stunning emerald gown, a pink sequinned jumpsuit and finally, a beautiful yellow gown from Christian Siriano.

Celine, who has just wrapped her 12 year Las Vegas residency, finished up the set with a cover of Imagine by John Lennon.

The star said: ‘‘If I may, I would love to leave with this message of peace and harmony in the best way that I can.’

Today, Stevie Wonder will take to the stage in Hyde Park, with Barbra Streisand headlining the Sunday.
