Anita Rani, 44, looked unrecognisable as she took part in the festive special of ITV’s All Star Musicals, performing All That Jazz from the classic Chicago. The TV presenter made sure to issue an apology on social media about her performance.
You have been warned.
Anita took on a dramatic new look, sporting the classic Chicago dress, performed famously by actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The presenter looked amazing in the black sparkly dress, featuring leg slits showing off Anita’s toned pins.
She sported a black wig to go with the outfit as well as a bold red lip to add a statement to her outfit.
In view of her 98,000 Twitter followers, Anita posted a picture of herself performing, along with the caption: “I lived a dream #allstarsmusicals @itv @MultiStoryTV saying sorry for the singing.
“You have been warned. Sorry.”
Fans took to the comments to make sure Anita knew how “gorgeous” she looked after her transformation.
Fairman_tony said: “Never mind the singing, you’re looking gorgeous.”
Chan_Naturelle added: “You look fabulous!”
About Anita’s performance, a show insider told the Daily Star: “This is a completely new look for Anita.
“It really helped her get into the right mindset for the performance.”
About the performance, Anita said: “What better time to come together to perform some show-stopping musical hits on stage.
“It’s a festive treat that is guaranteed to bring some sparkle to everyone’s living rooms this Christmas.”
Other celebrities taking part in the show include Ben Miller, Gyles Brandreth, Catherine Tyldesley and Fern Britton.
The judges are Samantha Barks, Elaine Paige and Trevor Dion Nicholas.
The celebrities will embark on the ultimate musical theatre masterclass, hoping to steal the show and be voted All Star Musicals Champion.
The night of musical magic will feature a special performance from one of the West End’s biggest shows, plus an exclusive performance by Samantha Barks, who plays Elsa in the West End.
Returning to host the show is John Barrowman, who will team up with Elaine, Samantha and Trevor, opening the show with a spectacular Greatest Showman medley.
Speaking about Anita on the show, John said: “Anita Rani brings another persona from what we see of her on television because she’s normally in welly boots and a wax coat in the countryside.
“In this show, she’s got silk stockings, high heeled shoes and a very glamorous glitzy dress on so it’s the complete opposite for her.
“She brings glamour and sexiness to the stage in the context of the performance.”
All Star Musicals will be available to watch on Boxing Day at 8pm on ITV.
