Curtis will help Maura with Dancing on Ice but insists it’s not an advantage

Love Island 's Curtis Pritchard has said he will be helping girlfriend Maura Higgins out when she competes in Dancing on Ice.

However, Curtis, who is a professional ballroom dancer, insisted this won't give Maura an advatange.

Speaking to MirrorOnline at the Pride of Britain Awards , Curtis revealed he has only gone to watch her rehearse once.

He said her skating is coming on leaps and bounds, though he isn't the best judge as his expertise is dancing, not skating.

"I went and watched her once" he said.

"But i’m a dancer, not on ice. I won’t comment on [gestures to waist] and below."

Maura was so busy training for the show, which will kick off early next year, she wasn't in attendance for the awards.

A recent video posted to her Instagram showed she is already mastering tricky lifts.

"All I can say is she is improving", Curtis continued.

"She’s doing really well.

"It wont give her an advantage but I will try and help her out as much as possible."

The Dancing On Ice pairings have not been announced yet, but they will be making TV history as they are the first show to pair up same sex couples.

Talking about his relationship with Maura, Curtis said: "Incredible, perfect.

He added: "Things are great with us."

Curtis and Maura are now one of four surviving couples from Love Island's class of 2019, now that Ovie Soko and India Reynolds have called it quits.

Curtis added: "I just take things as they come and I'm enjoying it with Maura and we're going strong.

"Everyone else's relationship- none of my business. I'm friends with each individual person, but what they do in their relationships, that's their business."
