First Dates waitress Laura Tott today announced her engagement on social media.
The 26-year-old made a name for herself on hit Channel 4 dating show First Dates but, has preferred to keep her private life out of the limelight.
The reality TV star shocked her 213k social media followers when she posted a picture of herself in a pool with an engagement ring on.
She captioned the post: “Well I better get planning that hen do [ring emoji] always keep my relationship off social media and I love that it’s just for me, but wanted to share this with you all cos I’m absolutely over the moon. Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine.”
In the pretty picture we see blonde beauty Laura in a glistening swimming pool, with dark shades on and her hand showcasing her ring and covering her face.
Fans and friends were quick to share their joy at the happy announcement, commenting on the joyous picture.
One wrote: “Best news ever!! So happy for you both. Sean did good with that ring!!!! X,” hinting her mystery man is named Sean.
Another wrote: “Congratulations!!! So happy for you!”
Some of the beautiful star’s male admirers weren’t as pleased at the news that Laura would no longer be single, though.
One wrote: “Gutted!” whilst others wrote “shame” and “not happy”.
Laura revealed earlier this year that she left First Dates because the show moved from its usual filming location in London’s Paternoster Chop House to Manchester.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “As you can see, I do not appear in this new series of First Dates. They have moved up north to a new restaurant and wanted to freshen up the team for this series with some new local faces among the old faces, so I will not be featuring in this new series of First Dates unfortunately.”

Laura wrote on Instagram about her experiences during the pandemic: “It’s been mental but I’m super grateful cos it’s taught me so much also. I’m sure after all this there’s so many things we will appreciate more, like family and friends time and TOILET ROLL. Thanks to every single follower, the support this last year has been amazing.”
