Following Gogglebox star Paige Deville revealing she quit the show on Friday with a tweet accusing show bosses of “zero aftercare”, she has now spoken out about the “real reason” she quit.
The 24 year old has told Birmingham Live that her reason for leaving the show is due to a fall out with her mum and co-star, Sally.
Paige said: “There have been problems within the family and my mum was given an ultimatum. The decision means I have nothing to do with her now. I think the decision is irreversible.
"It is very sad but that's life unfortunately.”

She continued: "My mum said she would no longer be filming Gogglebox. The show offered me an opportunity to work with another family member but I didn't want to work with anyone else. My mum and myself had started the journey together and I wasn't going to film with anyone else.
"Also, I had really had enough of filming. I work long hours running my recruitment business and all the filming was becoming too much.”
She continued: "There are more popular characters on the show than myself and my mum like Pete and Sophie and the Malones. When they weren't available producers would contact us and ask us to film at the drop of a hat which we would do.
"But filming is long. You would start at 3.30pm and finish at 12.30am and be paid £100 each per filming session.
"Filming is tough. You would stop to go to the toilet but other than that you wouldn't have a break. You would eat while filming.
"At one point my mum had her arm around me for four hours and they didn't want her to move her arm. It isn't as glamorous as you might think. It is very hard work."
OK! has contacted Channel 4 for a statement on Paige’s latest claims.
These claims follow Paige’s Twitter announcement she quit the show yesterday where she wrote in a tweet: “I have made the decision to walk away from Gogglebox.
“It’s been an experience but one I cannot continue with due to long hours of filming, restrictiveness, control of our actions and opinions & zero aftercare support but hey who cares about ex cast, their NTA winners.”
A Channel 4 spokesperson has told OK! at the time: “The welfare of contributors – past and present – is of paramount importance and robust protocols are in place to support contributors before, during and after taking part in the series.”
