Former Strictly Come Dancing pro James Jordan has issued an apology for “offending” people after swearing in his Instagram stories. The dance star, 43, uttered the offending word after stubbing his toe on a chair while filming his daughter Ella, who he shares with wife and former colleague Ola Jordan, 38.

Sorry if anyone was offended because I know it’s a disgusting word

In a post from Thursday evening, James apologised in view of his 235,000 followers.

He wrote: “Never had so many people in my DM’s saying I made their day dropping the ‘c’ bomb in one of my videos when I stubbed my toe.

“Glad I can oblige,” he added with a laughing face.

“Sorry if anyone was offended because I know it’s a disgusting word,” he finished.

Yesterday, the star documented his day which started with him running 5K in the gym.

After having completed the workout, the dance professional enjoyed some time with his adorable one-year-old.

However, the day took a turn for the worse when James injured himself by stubbing his toe.

Filming his daughter walking around, the proud father was engaging with her when the accident occurred.

“Ella,” he called to his daughter who was facing away from him.

“What does that say on your-,” before stubbing his toe and angrily swearing.

Panning to his feet in a pair of black sliders, James gripped his foot before growling: “I stubbed my toe on a chair!”

In the next story, the former Strictly star held his daughter as he apologised for his choice

James said: “Hello, say ‘hello everybody,'” he said to his baby daughter.

“We’re very sorry for the last video that went on where I swore, but I stubbed my toe on this here” he said while gesturing towards the leg of the table.

“And it hurt a lot,” he said, turning to Ella, “Didn’t it?” he asked.

“Say ‘naughty daddy!'” he jokingly asked his daughter as she adorably burbled away at him.

Joining in, James said: “No, no swearing”, while wagging his finger at the camera.

James and Ola joined Strictly Come Dancing in its fourth series in 2006.

They stayed for eight years before leaving in 2016 and welcoming Ella in February 2020.

Strictly Come Dancing starts this Saturday at 7.45pm on BBC One.
