Jamie Foxx’s daughter reaches out to fans as actor remains in hospital

Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx has spoken out after fans have been sending the Spider-Man: No Way Home star their support over the last few weeks following his hospitalisation.

The Hollywood star was rushed to hospital while filming the Netflix film Back In Action three weeks ago for a medical emergency and is still yet to be discharged.

Now, his daughter Corinne has taken to her Instagram Story to reach out to fans who have been sending their well-wishes.

“Thanks for the love!” she wrote, alongside a red heart emoji.

Her message comes after Foxx himself posted on Instagram to thank fans, while giving his blessing to Nick Cannon as he takes over his hosting duties.

In an initial statement on Instagram, he posted: “Appreciate all the love!! Feeling blessed” alongside three emojis of prayer hands, a heart and a fox.

The comment came just moments after he gave his well-wishes to The Masked Singer presenter Nick Cannon, who has been confirmed to temporarily replace him hosting TV show, Beat Shazam.

Foxx hosts the fan favourite game show, where competitors go head-to-head in guessing famous songs first.

His daughter, Corrine, stars alongside him, acting as the DJ as each track gets played.

However, as Foxx continues to recover in Atlanta, Georgia, Corinne has opted to stay with him and will be replaced by Kelly Osbourne in the interim. Both have stated they plan to return to the show as soon as he recovers.

“The Beat Shazam has been an unscripted mainstay on the FOX schedule for six seasons and counting,” the FOX Network said in a statement.

“This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx. Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ.

“Everyone at Fox Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer. “

The statement was shared by Corinne, who wrote: “Thank you so much [Nick Cannon] and [Kelly Osbourne] for filling in this season. We are so pumped for season six.”

While the family has chosen not to disclose what exactly happened to the star, he has remained in hospital undergoing tests for weeks now.
