Katie Price and Carl vow to show different side to romance as they film reality show
Katie Price is preparing to make her reality TV comeback alongside her fiancé Carl Woods – a move that has left those in her close circle feeling concerned.
We can reveal the 44-year-old has spent the last few weeks secretly filming the follow-up to her reality series Mucky Mansion. As scenes will show, Katie appears more united with Carl, 33, than ever.
However, according to our source, some of Katie’s family are concerned about the impact filming a reality show with her beau will have, especially when their relationship hasn’t always been plain sailing.
They explained: “Katie and Carl’s relationship has been on the rocks after a dramatic year, and behind closed doors Katie’s family are worried for her.
"The relationship has been so unsteady and they are scared she is going to get hurt again.
“It’s a project they’re both really excited about, but the pressures that come with filming a new TV show together can be extremely daunting. As a couple who have had many ups and downs, they do not need any more pressure.”
The Channel 4 show will pick up on Katie’s ongoing project to revamp her £2 million West Sussex property after it fell into disrepair. Production was halted in August following claims it was too dirty to film in, however filming recently restarted and the show is set to air early next year.
“This season is going to show a very different side to their romance – a raw and unscripted version of Katie and Carl’s relationship,” our source added. “Carl is heavily featured throughout season two, which will be a big change for viewers. The pair are more united than ever.”
And last week they put on a public display of affection as they went pumpkin picking with Katie’s eldest son Harvey, 20. Later that day, Katie showed how serious she was about giving her property a makeover when she was seen leaving a garden centre with a trolley piled high with plants.
Katie and Carl’s outing came in the same week her Channel 4 documentary Trauma And Me aired.
With her trademark honesty, Katie discussed the post-traumatic stress disorder she has suffered in recent years, opening up about a drink-driving episode in which she flipped her 4×4 on to its side and breaching a restraining order against her ex-husband’s new partner.
Now, our source says Katie wants to draw a line under her trauma and move forward to a happy future with Carl.
