Louise Thompson doesnt want to leave the house after hard days amid PTSD battle
Louise Thompson has admitted in a post on social media that she doesn’t want to leave the house after experiencing “a hard few days” amid her current battle with PTSD.
The 31 year old has been suffering from PTSD since she returned home after five weeks in hospital following the traumatic birth of her son Leo in November, which lead to "serious complications" for the reality star.
Louise has been open with her followers about her struggles in getting better physically and psychologically and spoke on Wednesday of how difficult she is finding it currently dealing with her mental health.
“Gosh it’s been a hard few days… mental health is so strange because it’s invisible, so only words can make sense of it to others,” Louise captioned.
“Anyway, yesterday there were a few beautiful hours including bath time with Leo and a big roast chicken for dinner. I keep pushing for more ‘normality’ even though it feels really really hard.
“Right now I don’t even want to leave the house.”
This comes after the new mum told her followers earlier this month of how she’d been suffering from “depressive panic episodes” lasting hours or sometimes days, leaving her unable to function.
Louise discussed in her latest health update how her low mood had caused her not to want to get dressed properly as she typically would have before she developed PTSD, and revealed a new hobby that has been helping her through her days.
“I haven’t actually worn makeup or snazzy clothes for a while (very unlike me) so instead I thought I’d post some pictures of some of the beautiful flowers that I’ve received or bought and have enjoyed arranging.
“One of my favourite past times.”
Louise accompanied the caption with a series of photos of colourful bouquets of flowers placed in various spots around her home, with one snap revealing part of her white dressing gown and furry slippers, as well as a flash of her engagement ring.
While bleakly honest, Louise's post offered some hope and positivity at the same time, as she let her followers know that she is “not giving up” as she continues to work on improving her health day by day.
“We’re still here and we’re still putting one foot in front of the other not giving up hope for a better and brighter future,” the ex Made in Chelsea star added.
