Martin Roberts, 57, has claimed that James Bond star Daniel Craig, 52, “loves” tuning into Homes Under The Hammer behind-the-scenes while working on his Hollywood movies. The presenter shared that the BBC show boasts a group of famous viewers, including Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton, 38, and House Of Games host and best-selling author Richard Osman, 50.
However, Martin seemed particularly delighted to hear that “James Bond is a fan” of the programme he has hosted for the past 17 years.
Opening up about the home improvement programme’s set of star-studded fans, Martin divulged in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk: “It’s lovely when I hear those sorts of things.
“Apparently Kevin Clifton does a Martin Roberts impression, so it’s lovely, and I’m always really touched and I guess with lockdown, people have been home more.
“I know Richard Osman is a huge fan and I did hear that Daniel Craig watches which is super cool.”

Detailing his discovery further, Martin revealed he had heard that Daniel had prevented one of his assistants from switching off Homes Under The Hammer while he was watching it backstage in his green room.
Martin continued: “Apparently when he was filming one of his movies they had it on in his green room and one of the runners was going to turn it off and he said, ‘No, no, no I love this show.’
“So it’s good to know that James Bond is a fan!”
Martin also found out that Daniel’s fellow Hollywood icons Meryl Streep, 71, and Mark Wahlberg, 49, have also shared that Homes Under The Hammer is one of their favourite shows.
The members of acting royalty found they enjoyed the programme when they stayed in the UK for various projects.
Martin added: “And two of the ones that I do know about are Meryl Streep, she came over and she said she’s a fan when she was being interviewed by Graham Norton.
“And Mark Wahlberg, when he was being interviewed on junket while he was talking about his new movie.
“For some reason the interviewer asked what TV shows he enjoys while he’s here and he said Homes Under The Hammer.

Elsewhere, Martin also gave an insight into the future of Homes Under The Hammer amid the coronavirus pandemic and filming restrictions.
The star reflected on having to suddenly put a stop to filming during the first lockdown in March 2020.
Speaking towards the end of last year, he divulged: “We haven’t been filming, we stopped filming in March.
“We’ve done a few days here and there in the last month or so, whereas I would have done, in an average month, maybe 20 days filming.
“In the last month, I’ve done one day and the previous six months, I did none.”
Although restrictions caused by the pandemic have changed how the show operates behind-the-scenes, Martin insisted he and the team have “found ways they can make the show”.
In a reassuring message to fans, he continued: “We are finding ways that we can make the show and we have started filming again.
“But where we would do two properties in one day we are now doing one, and to get those properties, the amount of hoops that you have to jump through, as you imagine, are considerable.”
