Nicki Minaj’s Mother Files $150 Million Lawsuit Against Man Accused Of Killing Father
Rap star Nicki Minaj‘s mother Carol Maraj has filed a $150 million lawsuit against the man who is facing criminal charges for the hit-and-run associated with the death of Minaj’s father Robert Maraj.
Carol Maraj filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, with Ben Crump Law releasing an official statement that claimed the accused, Charles Polevich “was not only irresponsible and negligent, but more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help.”
On the other hand, Polevich’s attorney Carc C. Gann has stated that “the criminal charges pending against Mr. Polevich have no bearing on the civil case” and that it “has yet to be determined whether there was any negligence involved in the accident or the degrees of any negligence.”
Gann added that the amount being demanded by the rapper’s family is “shocking to say the least and I don’t believe is in any way reasonable.”
Robert Maraj was allegedly struck by Polevich in his car in Mineola, New York. The accused fled the scene, while Maraj was pronounced dead on arrival when taken to a hospital.
