Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, has taken to Twitter where he has shared a clip mocking Meghan Markle, 39, after she likened herself to the cartoon princess of hit 1990 Disney film, The Little Mermaid. During her interview with the media mogul, Meghan likened herself to Ariel, who she said “falls in love with a Prince and because of that she has to lose her voice,” but went on to add that she “gets her voice back”.
And I went, ‘Oh my God, she falls in love with a Prince and because of that she has to lose her voice
Piers shared the parody video with his 7.9 million followers alongside three laughing-face emojis.
The clip, which was titled Meggie Markle is The Little Mermaid, was performed by actress Meggie Foster.
The video started out with an interview with the ITV presenter, where he relayed his thoughts on Meghan’s interview with Oprah.
He said: “If people want to believe Meghan Markle, that’s entirely their right.
“I don’t believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth.”
The newsreader continued: “And I think that the damage she’s done to the British monarchy and to the Queen is enormous and frankly contemptible.”
Meggie, posing as the Duchess of Sussex, turns off the TV and starts singing to The Little Mermaid hit, Part of Your World.
“Maybe he’s right, maybe there is something the matter with me,” she dubbed.
The lyrics continued: “I just don’t see how a world that makes such wonderful things, could be bad,” while Meggie leaned into view of former front pages depicting past Royal scandals.
While mock-singing along to the lyrics, Meggie went on to hold up a faux-diamond necklace before placing it around her neck.
She also donned a pair of huge earrings with the flag of Saudi Arabia on, in a nod to the pair the former Suits actress was gifted by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
As Meggie went on to place a tiara on her head amid the lyrics claiming that the Princess has “everything”, the clip shot to the actress mock-recording a podcast for Meghan and Harry’s foundation Archwell.

The actress went on to hold up a mock Oscar trophy which read “winner” along the bottom.
In front of a background of The White House, the actress lip-synced along to the lyrics.
“But who cares? No big deal, I want more,” she sang, holding up a sign that read “Meggie 4 Pressie”.
The parody video comes days after it emerged that the Duchess of Sussex apparently told a friend that her “ultimate ambition” is to become US President, when she was dating Prince Harry.
Speaking to Palace Confidential on MailPlus, royal commentator Richard Eden said: “A very good source said even after Meghan had started going out with Prince Harry she had said that her ultimate ambition was to be President.
“It seems to be increasingly likely and what a fascinating prospect it would be.”
Royal commentator Victoria Murphy added: “It would be absolutely extraordinary if it did happen and totally unprecedented.
“I would never say never but I don’t think this is something that is on the cards in the near future.”
