Princess Beatrice shares emotional poem in honour of her grandmother the Queen
Princess Beatricehas shared an emotional poem in honour of her grandmother, the lateQueen Elizabeth II .
The poem was shared to Instagram by her husbandEdoardo Mapelli Mozzi , who revealed that the poem had been written by his brother Alby Shale, who had gifted it to his sister-in-law following the death of her grandmother.
Sharing a screenshot of the poem, which mentions Paddington Bear and James Bond, to Instagram, Edoardo captioned it: “Your Majesty, Thank you. Thank you to my wonderful brother Alby Shale for writing this for Beatrice and thank you for allowing us to share it. Thank you.”
The poem begins by thanking Her Majesty for her guidance over the years.
It reads: “Thank you for guiding for 70 years
“Thank you for guiding with values not spears
“Thank you for guiding your whole adult life
“Thank you for guiding with dignity, not strife”
The poem then goes on to thank the late monarch for “leading England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales,” and thanks her for helping Prime Ministers thrive and ensuring the monarchy survives.

The poem also thanks the Queen for "evolving from Churchill to Truss", who were her first and last Prime Ministers.
There are also lines thanking her for "meeting Paddington Bear" and "meeting James Bond 007".
The sweet poem ends with the lines:
“Thank you for personifying sincerity
“Thank you for personifying justice
“Thank you for personifying moderation
“Thank you for personifying humility
“Thank you for personifying us.”
Following the Queen’s death last week, Edoardo shared the grief his family felt.
He posted to Instagram, writing: “Incredibly hard to process the last 24 hours. What an incredible woman and extraordinary mark she’s left on the entire world. She was the rock on which modern Britain was built.
“Feeling very lucky that our little ones got to spend wonderful time with her this summer. Rest in Peace Your Majesty. We will miss you so much. Brokenhearted [broken heart emoji].”
Following the passing of the Queen, Princess Beatrice is now ninth in the line of succession to the British throne, with her and Edoardo’s daughter Sienna Mapelli Mozzi now tenth in line.
