Reese Witherspoon Admits Daughter Ava Phillippe Can Be Frustrated for Being Her Lookalike

While she doesn’t mind the comparison because it makes her ‘feel so young,’ the ‘Morning Show’ star realizes that ‘it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother.’

AceShowbiz -Looking exactly like Reese Witherspoon, Ava Phillippe may sometimes gain advantage from her celebrity mother’s fame. However, being the actress’ lookalike apparently also comes with a downside as the “Big Little Lies” star admits that her daughter can sometimes be “frustrated” about it.

The blonde beauty opens up about her daughter’s issue of being her “twin” in an interview for InStyle’s December issue. “I’m so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother,” she tells interviewer Gayle King.

The CBS News journalist disagrees though, saying, “Reese, stop it! When Mama looks like you, it’s very easy.” To that, the Oscar winner replies, “Oh, you’re sweet,” before revealing that Ava sometimes turns to A-list friend for advice about having a famous lookalike mother.

“We talk to Zoe Kravitz a lot,” the 45-year-old star shares. “Because she and her mother [Lisa Bonet] look exactly alike, so whenever Ava is frustrated, I go, ‘Call Zoe, text Zoe, she knows what to talk about.’ I mean, that’s another mother-daughter combo that’s like identical twins.”

As for Reese herself, she doesn’t mind the comparison. She confesses that she loves “being mistaken” for her lookalike daughter because it makes her “feel so young.”

Reese shares 22-year-old Ava and 18-year-old son Deacon with her former husband Ryan Phillippe. She also has 9-year-old son Tennessee from her marriage to current husband Jim Toth. In the same interview, the Oscar-winning actress talks about raising her children in the limelight.

“It’s an odd situation because I didn’t grow up famous. So she’s living an experience that I did not have, and so are my sons,” she explains. “We are lucky enough to have friends who grew up in Hollywood and can help give them advice on how to navigate.”

On whether her daughter wants to follow her footsteps as an actress, the mother of 3 divulges, “Ava is so down-to-earth. She wants to do great things in the world. She’s studying and learning and trying to find herself. It’s a big thing in life to try different things and figure out what is really your path.”
