Roman Kemp is a curly haired schoolboy in throwback shared by pop star dad

Roman Kemp is a curly haired schoolboy in a throwback shared to Instagram by his pop star dad Martin.

The now 29 year old Radio DJ, who recently unveiled a new tattoo of a woman's face on his leg, is full faced in the youthful photo as he smiles alongside his dad.

Former Spandau Ballet singer Martin looks cool in a black leather jacket, blue eyes smouldering (swoon), with son Roman sporting an old school burgundy Arsenal FC shirt and denim jacket.

Silver fox dad Martin, 60, shared the photo to his 492k Instagram followers. He captioned the photo: "North London will always be RED!!! Come on you Gunners!!"

The star's 62 year old older brother Gary kept it brief, writing: "COYG" which, if you're an Arsenal fan like me, you'll know translates to 'come on you Gunners'.

The pair are stood together at the now-demolished playing ground, Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, London.

Martin's followers were quick to praise the father-son throwback, with one fan writing: "Nice pic Martin .your son looks just like you," whilst another added: "Crikey Roman looks like Shirley so much in that photo."

Others weren't as glowing in their response as they took the opportunity to poke fun at Martin's support for the north London club.

Anne wrote: "Lovely photo but Come on You Spurs! COYS" – again, if you're wondering, that means 'come on you Spurs'… I explain with a pinch of salt as an avid Arsenal fan myself.

Martin (not Kemp) had a similar response: "Great photo, Shame about the shirt!"

Alison said: "Not on Thursday it won’t," referring to the area being metaphorically red in favour of the Gunners' colours.

Martin's team will be facing off against their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday 12 May.

In March, Roman confirmed he's single and ready to mingle amidst reports that he is dating Love Island star Maura Higgins.

He told OK! Magazine: “Most of the time I see an article that has linked me to someone, it’s not true. I’m more like: ‘How would I ever be with that person?’

“I think of myself as pretty lame when it comes to that – and my friends like to tell me that. Most of my day is spent in my pants watching football with a Deliveroo.”

The I'm A Celebrity star said that he wants to be in a better place mentally before he starts dating again, following the tragic death of his radio producer Joe Lyons in 2020.
