LBC presenter Steve Allen, 67, sparked outrage after he branded Tilly Ramsay a “chubby little thing” on his show earlier this week. The 19-year-old chef called the host out for his body-shaming remarks on social media, where she was supported by a number of celebrities and fans.

Many have since called for Steve to be sacked from the show and now his colleagues reportedly also want him out.

An unnamed person who works at the station told The Sun: “Steve’s outdated and archaic comments have been allowed to continue for far too long and plenty of people want him out.

“There’s free speech and then there is calling a teenage girl fat live on the radio.

“Plenty of people think it’s time he was given his marching orders because this isn’t the first time he’s made unacceptable comments on air and hasn’t been reprimanded.”

They added he was bringing the reputation of the station down and urged him to apologise.

Steve is yet to issue an apology for his comments and judging by his past, it’s likely that he won’t.

The presenter has said other negative things about people in the public eye in previous times.

In 2014, he referred to Gemma Collins as a “beach hut” and branded Arg “fat”.

Love Island star Amy Hart also claimed that Steve had slated her on more than one occasion.

She told the publication: “He 100 per cent has to be sacked.

“He’s called me desperate and pointless, why is he still allowed to be on the radio?

“He talks about my family as well, about my mum and dad and how we are all so desperate to be famous.”

The 29-year-old went on to say she was told the broadcaster “trolls everyone”.

The LBC presenter returned to Twitter a day after his comments about Tilly, but didn’t address the backlash.

Instead, he wrote: “Water water everywhere here in London, flooding all over the place, let’s dry out together from 4.”

Express.co.uk have contacted a representative for LBC for comment.

Many of his 59,000 followers flocked to his post urging him to apologise.

Gracie commented: “I don’t know why I have to say this to you at 67 years old but if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it.”

“I think you owe Tilly Ramsey an apology,”(sic) Loraine Charles added.

Claire Potter wrote: “Please apologise for your comments, you can do a lot of damage to young girls and their self image.”
