The Truth About Kim Kardashian And Kanye West’s Future Plans For Their Family
Now that Kim Kardashian has officially filed for divorce from rapper-mogul Kanye West, the future of their family is next in line when it comes to decision-making. While Kardashian has armed herself with high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser, an insider told People that “negotiations have progressed and they are nearing a settlement.” That being said, they are far from negotiating the way they will raise their children going forward.
Kardashian and West have always had their differences when it comes to future plans for their children, with a source telling People that the couple are not always on the same page when it comes to their kids North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
The source revealed to the outlet, “They have a different vision of the world and how their kids should be raised,” which may present issues in the long run once they are divorced. Although the source clarified that “Kim will always support Kanye and his causes and encourage him with their kids,” it seems like Kardashian is setting herself to be the boss. As the source said, “[Kim’s] future with work, family and life in general are strictly up to her. She makes it happen.” So, there might be a bit of drama on the horizon.
What's next for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's family?
As the divorce proceedings move forward, the A-list pair are in agreement over joint custody of their children, and according to one of People‘s sources, they are apparently satisfied with the initial prenup. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean West and Kardashian have everything ironed out. The source told the outlet that “Kim will continue with her projects and so will Kanye,” but that “what they want in life and for their kids doesn’t always match.”
In the past two years, West has been spending a significant amount of time at the pair’s massive Wyoming ranch, unsuccessfully running for president, and dealing with bipolar disorder, and as People noted, Kardashian has been supportive. Once West began to air their very personal drama, tension seemed to bubble over.
In since-deleted tweets (via People), West wrote, “Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up” and “[Kris] don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children.” He also tweeted, “Everybody knows that movie get out is about me,” referring to Jordan Peele’s award-winning horror film that takes a deep dive into racism. After that debacle, there were reports regarding Kardashian and West possibly separating in summer 2020, although the divorce filing didn’t come about until 2021. All in all, we can only hope the separation is amicable for their sake, and for West and Kardashian’s four kids.
