Jordan Brand Officially Unveils Russell Westbrook's Jordan Why Not .5 Sneaker
Few players in the NBA possess the combination of athleticism, tenacity and skills that Russell Westbrook moves with on the hardwood. And as the veteran point guard finds himself in the middle of the 2021-2022 season, he’s taking a moment to officially unveil his latest Jordan Why Not .5 silhouette. The first batch of colorways have been revealed by Jordan Brand, all of which are inspired by aspects of Brodie’s life both on and away from the court.
Leading the way for the Lakers point guard’s roll out is the “Childhood” colorway which is designed to represent the next generation of upcoming hoopers. It’s styled with a playful trio of infrared, blue and black accents. Next up on the list is the “Raging Grace” colorway that bears mostly black upper accompanied by vivid pops of pink, volt and orange hits to nod to his aggressive-yet-smooth style of play. The “Hype Music” makeup also comes supplied with a black base layer and is joined by an array of vibrant accents to nod to the pre-game tunes that get him going before stepping on the floor. In addition to these offerings, Westbrook also has a collaboration with his own fashion imprint Honor the Gift coming that’s titled the “Inner City” rendition to pay homage to his upbringing.
If interested in copping, you can find the “Childhood” pair dropping on March 1, the “Raging Grace” colorway launching on March 15 and the “Hype Music” makeup releasing on April 5th via Nike and other retailers.
For other sneaker-related news, Nike is slated to retro the LeBron 3 this year.
