Liam Payne 'splits from girlfriend Kate Cassidy' after 10 months of dating

Liam Payne and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy have reportedly called it quits after 10 months of being an item.

The former One Direction star, 29, made his red carpet debut with Kate, 23, at the British Fashion Awards on December 5 2022.

It was their first official public appearance together after whispers of a romance started when they were pictured together on Halloween, dressed as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, before being snapped again on a dinner date.

However, according to reports, Kate has moved out of the singer’s home and back to the US.

A source shared: ‘There was no big row or anything – it just ran its course and they both mutually decided to go their separate ways.’

‘Liam knows it’s the right decision, he’s been throwing himself into his music and the rest of the year he is jampacked with work,’ the insider added to The Sun.

Last Christmas, the Drag Me Down hitmaker revealed he had been sent cruel messages about their relationship as he decided to hit back at one publicly.

Screenshotting a DM from a disgruntled fan, who laid claims of gold-digging at Kate’s door, Liam replied on his Story: ‘Gotta say you could tell me anything and I couldn’t be turned, I’ve never felt a love like I do for Katelyn.’

‘We make each other better people,’ he sweetly said.

‘If it was just for the money I’d give her all of it.

‘It’s not though (please remember I’m hella sexy) and I know I’m fun and a loveable person.’

After the tongue-in-cheek comment, he returned to a more serious tone, adding: ‘And I don’t give a f*** to say that for the first time in my life I’m happy to be me and that’s priceless.’

As for Liam’s ‘jampacked’ schedule, he is set to battle boxer Tommy Fury on the football pitch in this year’s Soccer Air.

Fans breathed a collective sigh of relief when it was announced that the pair wouldn’t be boxing, with one writing on social media: ‘Wait are you not fighting? Thank god lololol I was afraid of you getting hurt.’

Others joked that they ‘can’t believe’ they were ‘fooled’ by Liam Payne, although a couple did express disappointment Tommy wouldn’t be brushing off his gloves.
