Michael Griffiths' reaction to ex Amber Gill winning Love Island is pure joy

He brutally dumped Amber Gill after Casa Amor, but Michael Griffiths wants you to know he’s not regretting his decision after his ex stormed to victory on Love Island.

The firefighter, 28, proved he’s not even a tiny bit bitter as he filmed himself celebrating when Amber and Greg O’Shea were announced the winners on Monday night.

Michael jumped up and down, yelling, ‘Oh s***! Oh s***!’ in a clip he shared to his Instagram Stories.

The incredulous reality star then paused before telling the camera: ‘I did not expect that. Wow.’

He’d watched the final live alongside last year’s finalist Josh Denzel at the Love Island experience on Brighton Beach.

Speaking before the big moment, Michael predicted that Amber could take home the £50,000 after seeing her chemistry with rugby player Greg.

He told the crowd: ‘As I was watching it, I thought, “Do you know what, I think they could win this”.’

Michael broke Amber’s heart (as well as the nation’s) when he returned from Casa Amor with Joanna Chimonides and repeatedly told the Geordie star it was over between them.

But after Joanna was voted out of Love Island by the public, he chose to stay in the villa and insisted he still had feelings for Amber in a dramatic U-turn.

After being left completely shell-shocked at Michael’s change of heart, Amber chose to couple up with Greg, reasoning that she didn’t want to be with someone who made her ‘feel s***’ for most of her time on the show.

Michael’s been seen getting pretty cosy with Joanna since getting booted out of the villa, with pictures emerging of the pair sharing several passionate kisses at a festival.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, he admitted he found it hard to ‘turn off his feelings’ for Joanna and said they need to sit down and have a proper chat about where things were going.
