NOMOS Celebrates 175 Years of Glashütte Watchmaking With New Club Automatic Series

In celebration of 175 years of watchmaking in Glashütte, Germany, NOMOS is launching a special edition Club automatic inspired by Bauhaus design sensibilities.

Coming in a 40mm case crafted out of stainless steel with a polished finish, the new timepiece is offered in three different colors: navy, olive and onyx.

All three iterations carry the same dial design, featuring numeral indexes at the even hours, lumed sword hands for the hours and minutes, and a small seconds sitting neatly above 6 o’clock. At the core of the timepiece is NOMOS’ own self-winding caliber DUW 5001, equipped with a proprietary swing system created by the company. Finishing the three models are three separate strap options: the navy will come with a blue-black textile strap, the olive will be paired with a light gray textile strap, and the onyx will carry a NOMOS Sport bracelet.

For those interested, each of the three Club automatic models will be limited to just 175 units made, with the navy and olive editions going for $2,620 USD and the onyx version going for $2,920 USD.

Elsewhere in watches, Grand Seiko has launched a new “Tree Rings” timepiece in honor of its founder Kintaro Hattori.
