Seething commuter shares photo of ‘w****r’ cyclist – but her rant backfires
Online shaming is so widespread that it could easily be described as a national past-time.
When we see something that makes our blood boil, many of us will Tweet/blog/post on Instagram /share on Facebook about it, complete with photo evidence, obviously.
But maybe – just maybe – before we get on our cyber soap box and start spitting venom, we should take a deep breath and reconsider.
Take one female commuter who, recently, spotted a cyclist with their feet on the seats of the train she was on.
She revealed in a later Reddit post that the cyclist saw the train was busy but decided not to use the overhead storage for his helmet and bag.
Kicking off strong, she fumed: "It was just after rush hour. 1. Regardless of whether it is busy or not, get your filthy shoes off the seats. It's disrespectful to your fellow passengers. Nobody wants your shoe c*** over their clean clothes.
"2. If you have too much stuff, use the overhead storage. That's what it's there for. The seats are for a****"
We'll be the first ones to agree that feet on seats on pubic transport is not cool.
Others agreed, with one comment reading: "D**** cyclists! They think they own the roa… errr.. train."
But, by and large, it was the commuter who came under fire.
