A fitness coach from Brisbane has shared her simple and healthy recipe for recreating a McDonald’s McChicken Burger.

Bec Hardgrave uses only four ingredients to recreate the ‘fakeaway’ burger and shared her McChicken is 362 calories and contains 21.4 of protein.

She begins recreating the fast food favourite by first cooking two Coles Brand Crumbed Chicken Tenders in the air fryer according to the box directions.

Fakeaway McChicken Burger ingredients 

  • 1 brioche Aldi bun
  • 2 Coles Brand Crumbed Chicken Tenders
  • 20g Light Praise Mayonnaise
  • Lettuce

While the chicken cooks she slices one brioche bun from Aldi. 

Once the chicken tenders are cooked and golden she smears a 20 grams of Light Praise Mayonnaise onto the the brioche bun halves. 

She then places the chicken tenders onto the bun and tops the chicken with a handful of shredded lettuce to finish. 

Bec commented online with her recipe video that the fakeaway McChicken Burger is low in calories, high in protein and macro friendly. 

‘Omg yum I need to give this a go! McChickens are my go to order,’ a woman commented on Instagram. 

‘Had this for dinner tonight! Was a winner in my house,’ another said online.
