Hugh Grant, 60, has an acting career spanning the majority of his life. With him starring in the likes of Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually and Bridget Jones’s Diary, Hugh has amassed a huge fortune – he is worth millions.

Thanks to his successful career and being one of the most popular film stars in the 90s, the actor has an eye-watering net worth.

The actor has led films that have generated more than £2.2billion.

In his early life, the actor graduated from New College in Oxford where he studied English literature, and acted purely for pleasure. 

Although he never thought of having a career in the entertainment industry, Hugh started performing in a production of Twelfth Night which began to tour.

He also joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society while he worked a variety of different jobs doing book reviews, writing radio commercials and tutoring students. 

Before making it in the film industry, Hugh started acting in smaller film names like Bitter moon and The Remains of the Day.

It was the highest-grossing British film at the time and Hugh was awarded a Golden Globe for his role.

Hugh reportedly earned £75,000 for his role in the 1994 film, which helped him launch his career. 

He then went on to star in Bridget Jones’ Diary, Love Actually and Notting Hill. 

By the late 1990s people all around the world recognised his face and was commanding around £5million per film.

Today, Celebrity Net Worth reveals that Hugh typically earns around £8million for a starring role, or £3million for a smaller acting role.

Hugh has also added to his bank balance by investing in real estate.

He has a huge portfolio of properties including his mansion in the upmarket area of London, Chelsea. 

It cost the actor a whopping £1.8million in 2000 and nine years ago, he spent another £1.8million on a nearby mansion for his former girlfriend Tinglan Hong and their two children.

His most recent property was bought last year in Chelsea, which reportedly cost him and Anna Eberstein an eye-watering £17million.

They still own all of their Chelsea properties and one of them is rented out for a whopping £7,000 a month.

In his personal life, Hugh married Anna Eberstein in 2018. 

She is a television producer and retail director from Sweden. 

The couple have one son together, John Grant, who is eight years old but Hugh has five children altogether from previous partners. 

Speaking on becoming a father back in 2018, Hugh told People TV: “It was the nicest thing that’s ever happened to me…It’s just lovely to have all that love around.

“Suddenly you love someone more than yourself. It’s unheard of in my case and they love you and it’s all enchanting.”
