There’s no doubting Bradley Walsh and his son Barney have a very close friendship which is lovely to see.

Popular television presenter Bradley, 60, quickly become one of TV’s most loved and best paid stars, having appeared on various shows across the years, from Coronation Street to Doctor Who and, more recently, Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, which sees the star travelling with his son.

In 1997, Bradley’s television career began as he obtained the role of host on The Wheel Of Fortune in 1997 before becoming a Coronation Street regular, playing the role of Danny Baldwin from 2004 until 2006.

And if you’re a fan of a gameshow then you’ll definitely has seen Bradley on The Chase, which he presents.

Bradley has been presenting the show for over 11 years, delighting audiences with his wit and charm, but it’s on Breaking Dad where we’ve caught a glimpse of his personal life, with the help of son Barney.

And Barney Walsh is fast becoming as popular as his famous dad.

Barney Walsh is the only child of Bradley and his choreographer wife, Donna Derby. He has a half-sister Hayley from one of Bradley's previous relationships.

When Barney is not filming with his dad, he earns a living as a successful presenter and actor.

Barney trained in performing arts at the highly prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama which is where he learned to act.

He graduated to become a successful working actor landing television roles on shows such as Doctors and Law and Order: UK.

Working on Breaking Dad, Barney and Bradley show their far more than just father and son, and are in fact best friends too.

Talking about Barney while on This Morning, Bradley said: “He has always been my son, and you always take care of them. But then all of a sudden he becomes your equal and a work colleague, and a mate, and someone you respect.

“Now I look up to him. Barney, bless him, was directing me on some of the things 'Dad don't worry about this, you need to be thinking about this', and actually producing me."

If that isn’t cute enough, Barney has also referred to Bradley as his “best mate.”

While filming, Barney said: “You’re my dad, but you’re also my best mate, and when we stuff like this, it solidifies it. We have so much fun together, Dad. All the adventures."

And despite all the time they spend together, the pair don’t appear to have any tiffs.

When asked if they’d fallen out, Bradley said: “Only out of a plane!"

And their amazing friendship continues off-screen too, with the pair often popping up on social media together, laughing and having fun.

Posting a tribute to his dad on his birthday, Barney penned: “Happy birthday to my inspiration – my father. Have a great day you nutter, and I hope they spoil you rotten on set!"

It wasn’t long ago that Bradley broke down as he was surprised with a private Andrea Bocelli concert for 60th birthday by son Barney.

Wearing a blue and white checkered shirt underneath a blue jumper and a pair of jeans, the star appeared to be overcome with emotion as he visited the 62 year old singer's luxurious home.

Barney, 23, dressed casually in a green shirt and denim jacket paired with some dark trousers as he told Andrea: "It was my dad's 60th birthday…"

Andrea, who donned a very smart black tuxedo for the special occasion, which he teamed with a pair of black sunglasses, interrupted to say: "You have a very wonderful son," to which Bradley replied: "Thank you, thank you so much."
