Tanqueray launches brand new indulgent Blackcurrant Royale Gin
Pubs and bars have been shut for most of the last year and so tipples at home have been our only choice.
And, to be honest, we’d really love an ice cold drink in a beer garden this spring.
While that dream may be a few months away the rule of six is set to return on March 29 so we can meet our friends and family for some outside social time.
In preparation, we’ve been dreaming up which cocktails we’ll make when we’re finally free to have some fun.
And, it seems premium gin brand Tanqueray has had the same idea as it has announced the launch of a brand new flavour.
The delicious Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale is set to be a firm favourite among those who love a fruity drink like a Bramble or Kir Royale.
The vibrant, purple spirit is gin based and made with French blackcurrants and sweet vanilla notes.
Someone grab the ice!
The indulgent new drink was inspired by Charles Tanqueray’s visits to France in the 19th Century – and reflects the luxurious nature of the country.
Classic gin lovers will enjoy the blend of Tanqueray’s London Dry Gin’s four botanicals with the warm vanilla, blackcurrants and floral notes of heady black orchid.
The gin will pair perfectly with your standard tonic and lemon or can be added to sparkling wine for an extra-decadent treat.

Janine Blakeway-Ely, Head of Europe Gin Innovation said of the new drink: "The idea behind Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale was born from combining the elegant world of Tanqueray with a unique and differentiated offering.
"We know gin lovers are looking for more than just flavour, so we delved into Charles Tanqueray's history.
“Inspired by Tanqueray's heritage and travels we layered sumptuous and mysterious flavours to create this delicious gin, best served with tonic or in a coupette with prosecco.
“It's a gin like no other."
You can purchase the Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale from a number of supermarkets including Asda and Waitrose for £20 per 70cl.
Please drink responsibly.
