The Office of National Statistics compiles a list of the UK’s most popular names on their site, and this is then broken down into month-by-month categories.

So, drum roll please, these are the most popular names for this month…

Topping the list for the girls is Olivia, while for the boys it’s George, but Oliver falls just behind in second place.

Olivia and Oliver come as no surprise seeing as they were crowned the most-used names of 2020.

As well as this names topping the list for March, a list has also been released consisting of baby names making a big comeback in 2021.

Baby name website Nameberry released the top five ‘lost’ baby names which are making a comeback in 2021.

They analysed the most popular baby names from the past three years and noted down the monikers which have appeared for the first time in decades.

Included in the list are Bee, Cobra, Garrhett, Pearlina and Saunders.
