There is now a Home Bargains Monopoly game and fans 'need it for Christmas'
MONOPOLY has been given a Home Bargains makeover for Christmas 2020 – and shoppers can’t wait to play it.
Instead of houses and hotels, the latest version of the classic board game sees players buy Home Bargains stores and warehouses.
Players start off in the very first Home Bargains store in Old Swan, Liverpool, before going round shops in other parts of the country.
Like the traditional game, Home Bargains Monopoly also features Chance Cards and Community Chest cards.
Players get a choice of eight character tokens to play as, plus two dice and a pack of Monopoly money.
The board game is an official variation from manufacturer Hasbro.
Eagle-eyed shoppers have already spotted it in stores, priced at £14.99.
Posting on the Home Bargains Appreciation Facebook page, one customer said: "If you ever wanted to own your own Home Bargains store, now you can."
Replying to the post, one person said: "I need this for Christmas omg."
Another said: "Xmas pressie idea!"
A third commented: "Finally a game we might enjoy."
Sadly, the Home Bargains Monopoly game is sold out online.
This means you’ll need to try your luck in stores if you want to pick one up for Christmas.
Home Bargains has around 500 shops in the UK – use the online store finder tool to track down your nearest branch.
If they come back in stock online, you'll pay £3.49 or it's free on orders over £50.
We’ve asked Home Bargains what characters are available and we’ll update this article when we know more.
