Kim Kardashian came under fire recently after throwing a huge birthday bash for her 40th on a private island with family in tow.

And, as you could likely expect from the glamorous star, the party was incredibly lavish with lanterns galore, dancers and sensational outfits.

Yet, amid the glitz and glamour, fans were quick to notice that a key member of the Kar-Jenner clan was missing.

Yes, as the famous family gathered for selfies and birthday snaps altogether, fans noticed that makeup mogul and youngest Jenner member, Kylie, was missing from the bash!

Pictures published by the Daily Mail over the past week showed the 23 year old with her daughter Stormi boarding a private jet, leading people to believe she was heading to big sister Kim’s island bash.

However, the star then returned to LA with Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott, a couple of days later.

And Kim’s island party wasn’t the only family get-together Kylie wasn’t present at, with the family also enjoying time at Kim and Kanye’s Wyoming ranch.

In a snap shared by Kim, Kendall, Khloé, and Kourtney smile in stylish outfits, alongside mum Kris and her partner Corey.

However, despite all the family being together, Kylie again was missing from the snaps.

And Kim also celebrated her birthday with a celebratory episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and all the family gathered together again to look back at some of Kim’s most iconic moments.

In the clips we see Kris, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, Rob and Scott all together to look back at Kim’s most memorable moments, but little sister Kylie was missing yet again and fans were quick to pick up on her absence.

Fans took to Twitter to comment underneath Kim’s stunning birthday snaps, with one simply writing: “Where is Kylie Jenner?” which was echoed by hundreds of other fans in the comment section.

Kim’s surprise birthday party was attended by young star Kylie, who joined in with a synchronised dance routine for Kim with the rest of her sisters, but where Kylie was for the other celebrations remains unknown!

Instagram star Kim received huge amounts of backlash after sharing her birthday snaps.

She captioned them: “40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter.

“For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.

“After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.”

And one person who was quick to slam the star was Piers Morgan who blasted Kim as a "tone-deaf imbecile" after her birthday post.

Replying to her post on Twitter, Piers wrote: "This thread is so repulsive it makes me want to vomit. Not that we needed confirmation but what a spoiled, tone-deaf imbecile."
