BTS’ RM Describes the 'Permission To Dance on Stage' Concerts as ‘Beautiful’

The BTS Permission to Dance on Stage concerts were filled with memorable moments, both for ARMYs and members of this K-pop group. RM even took to social media, describing the experience and posting a picture of himself on stage.

Here’s what we know about BTS’ leader and “God of Destruction,” RM.

BTS performed their ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ residency at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium

After months of virtual performances, BTS finally returned to the stage in the United States with their Permission to Dance on Stage concerts. These were hosted at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, following their Artist of the Year win at the American Music Awards.

As no surprise that ARMYs, all four performances sold out, with ARMY Bombs lighting up every corner of the stadium. There was a birthday surprise for Jin, a Squid Game-inspired outfit worn by V, and plenty of love between the K-pop group and their fans, many of whom were seeing BTS in person for the first time since the pandemic.

“Now we’re charged back up thanks to you guys,” RM said during the concert, with Jungkook adding, “nothing can stop ARMY and BTS.”

RM described his time with BTS’ ‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ concert as ‘beautiful’

RM is the artist behind solo songs like “Intro: Persona” and “Trivia: Love,” released on BTS’ official albums. At Permission to Dance on Stage, he performed songs like “Butter” and “Dynamite” alongside Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Following the group’s performances, the idol took to social media.

“Everything was beautiful,” RM wrote, adding “thank you” in Korean, according to Twitter’s translation. The post earned over 2 million likes from ARMYs.

This performance was even more special because BTS originally planned to embark on their Map of the Soul world tour during 2020. Those performances were postponed and later canceled, leading to BTS’ Grammy-nominated single “Dynamite.”

BTS announced an upcoming performance in Seoul, South Korea, for March 2022

Technically, the Permission to Dance on Stage residency wouldn’t be the first time the K-pop group returned to the stage since the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. BTS performed “My Universe” alongside Coldplay during the American Music Awards.

They also hosted the virtual BTS Festa Muster Sowoozoo Concert, singing songs like J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” and Suga’s “Daechwita” (released as Agust D).

Before the end of this residency, the K-pop group revealed they would be performing in Seoul during March 2022. Although there’s no confirmation from HYBE Corporation, fans expect a new album featuring songs like “Permission to Dance” and “Butter’ to debut around the same time.

Additionally, some ARMYs speculate that there will be an announcement regarding a world tour in the coming months. Until then, fans can listen to already released BTS songs on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
