Michelle Keegan set to become a WAG as Mark Wright chases dream football career
Michelle Keegan could be joining the official WAG club soon after husband Mark Wright admitted he's to chase his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
Mark, who shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex has revealed that he waved goodbye to his footballing career over ten years ago after finding an interest in night clubs and parties.
Now, the 33-year-old is hoping to put his boots back on and get back onto the pitch for a professional league club.
The reality star who has appeared on the pitch for ITV's Soccer Aid over the years also revealed he turned down an offer from Billericay Town.
Speaking to MailOnline, Mark said: "I would definitely debate pursuing football. Before it's too late that's something I would love to do.
"I came away from football too young if you ask me. I ruined my career by my own faults when I was 21 and it's something that has always stuck with me."
The former TOWIE star continued: "I have definitely been toying with the idea and will review it over the next month and decide if I want to give it a go."
Michelle Keegan's husband admitted that he rejected an offer from Billericay Town as he would want to play for a professional league club "because that would be the whole point".
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant who married ex-Coronation Street star, Michelle, 33, in 2015 disclosed that he was planning on returning to television work in the states.
Mark launched his US career in 2017 alongside host Mario Lopez on the show Extra, before stepping away in 2019 in order to spend more time in Blighty with Michelle.
He went on to say that despite wanting to work out in the States, he has ruled out living there.
Mark's ideal role out in America would be to front a series, in order to spend time on both sides of the Atlantic.
