Nativity cast now – child death tragedy, BGT star and stunning transformation

From ups and downs to fame and fortune, quite a lot has happened to the Nativity cast since 2009, with many of the younger performers at university, on TikTok and trying to make a name for themselves.

Some of them even had stints on other shows – with the likes of Krista Hyatt appearing on Britain's Got Talent as the world's cutest duo dancing team.

As for the adult actors, many of them have landed big roles since the movie – with a long list of blockbuster success behind them too.

But since the movie released in the late noughties, what has everybody been up to? Daily Star has looked into the lives of the famous stars since the hit festive film.

Nativity was such a huge success that following its release an additional two films ended up being created – with the box office revenue increasing each year.

Worldwide, the original film was said to have made $8.4million (£6.3million) at the box office, and given its popularity, it's no surprise that bosses decided to give a second and third showing a whirl.

Martin Freeman

Martin first appeared on Nativity in 2009 as Paul Maddens, and while he did have some good success behind him with the likes of Hot Fuzz and fellow Christmas film Love Actually, his success skyrocketed after the film.

In 2012 Martin appeared in The Hobbit trilogy, which has remained one of his strongest and best known roles to date, while also appearing in BBC's Sherlock.

Alongside this, Martin has also appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

His success has not only seen him involved in multiple blockbusters, but it's also landed Martin multiple Baftas and Emmys too.

Jason Watkins

Jason has also been on multiple TV shows and films, including recent appearances in Line of Duty and The Crown.

However his life hasn't been quite so easy in the years since his time on the movie, with tragedy hitting his family home following the death of his daughter.

Jason and his wife Clara lost their two-year-old daughter Maude in 2011 after she tragically died of sepsis.

Since then, Jason has fought to raise awareness for the disease as he also continues to raise funds to help others with sepsis.

Marc Wootton

Marc may have played Mr Poppy in Nativity, but it's not the only thing he's appeared in, with a stint in The Harry Hill Movie in 2013 and a comedy series titled La La Land in 2010.

La La Land, which followed three wannabes as they struggled to find fame and fortune in LA, is not to be confused with the hit 2016 movie with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.

Marc also appeared in all three Nativity movies too.

Ashley Jenson

Ashley Jenson was also hit with tragedy in the years that followed her time on Nativity, with her husband Terence Beesley taking his life in 2017 aged 60.

She was left devastated after finding him in their family home in Somerset after 18 years together. At the time, she told the inquest that she will "never ever forget it".

In the years that followed, Ashley resumed work and most recently has joined Ricky Gervais to work on AfterLife while she films their final season.

Pam Ferris

Pam Ferris continues to shock people with her ever-evolving doors of characters with many fans completely oblivious to who she has played before.

The actress is able to look so incredibly different that many viewers would not recognise that Pam, who played Mrs Bevan, also played both Aunt Marge in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Miss Trunchbull in Matilda.

Despite being 73-years-old, she's not slowing down whatsoever and has recently appeared in Call the Midwife and Tolkien.

Michael McAuley

Michael McAuley was the student who joined Mr Maddens on his trip to Hollywood – but now he's far away from the big showbiz city.

The 19-year-old is now a university student and often posts in hit social media platform TikTok with fun and inventive videos, much like many members of the cast.

His last work appears to be the Nativity sequel, which was released in 2012.

Krista Hyatt

Krista, who played Becky, has had quite the showbiz upbringing despite only having a name in Nativity.

Not only does she boast an impressive 15,000 followers on TikTok, but it's not just Nativity that people remember her for.

Krista also appeared on BGT with Charlie Dixon as the pair got to the finals under dance duo Cheeky Monkeys after they won the hearts of the nation – but not quite enough to bag the top prize.

Aside from Krista's impressive history on Nativity and BGT, she has completely transformed from the young girl we once watched on our screens.

The beauty still boasts staggering blonde locks and an incredible wardrobe as she gives her TikTok followers constant updates with glam clips of herself.
