Olly Murs last released an album in 2018, You Know I Know, which was followed by a 2019 tour. While fans may have expected a new record before a new tour, Olly is defying expectations and going on the road again in 2021. Express.co.uk breaks down how to get tickets to his summer tour, some of which are rescheduled dates.

Olly Murs intended for his tour to take place throughout 2020, it seems. However he has had to shift dates to 2021 and 2022 instead, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Covid pandemic has continued to cause delays and major changes to live music events.

Glastonbury Music Festival has already announced it will not be going ahead this year, while others may have major restrictions on their numbers.

However, Olly is still intending to sing his heart out for fans across the next 18 months in a whole load of new shows.

Olly kicks off his tour in July 2021 at Haydock Park Racecourse, outside Liverpool, before heading down south to play in Bedford.

The beginning of Olly’s tour will focus mainly on racecourses, likely to ensure more people can attend as the venues are outdoors, before heading to Scarborough Open Air Theatre in August.

Olly continues on a zig-zag tour of the UK before taking a long break over the autumn and winter.

When he comes back in 2022, he starts in Ireland for a show in Cork and Northern Ireland for his Belfast show, after which he is back in England.

The tour takes Olly up to Scotland for a show in Edinburgh, as well as shows in Swansea, Cardiff and Colwyn Bay for his Welsh fans.

Unlike most of his tours, which may have usually been held at indoor venues, most of Olly’s performances in 2021 and 2022 will be at outdoor venues, likely to ensure they are more likely to go ahead if a COVID-19 surge takes place.
