Piers Morgan mocks former GMB co-star Susanna Reid in savage Twitter dig
Piers Morgan jumped on Twitter today to take a playful swipe at ex co-host Susanna Reid.
The broadcaster took aim after the team he supports, Arsenal, beat her alleged boyfriend Steve Parish’s team of Crystal Palace.
Susanna Reid is said to be currently dating Steve, the owner of the South London based football club Crystal Palace.
The team were defeated three to one by Arsenal after Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe carried the team from a draw to victory in the 91st minute.
Gloating, Piers shared a picture of the match and wrote "oops," tagging Susanna.
Susanna began dating Steve in August of 2018, with the pair eventually splitting in April of 2019.
The pair are alleged to have subsequently rekindled their romance, though neither Susanna nor Steve have commented on the speculation.
Piers and Susanna were last notably seen together on Good Morning Britain in a final appearance by Piers on March 9.
With things getting heated, he stormed off the set while being confronted by colleague Alex Beresford for his opinions on Meghan Markle.
Alex said moments before Piers walked off-screen: "Has she said anything about you after she cut you off? She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to. And yet you continue to trash her."
Piers’ criticism of Meghan and her husband Harry has continued onto Twitter, most recently in response to the trailer for Harry’s upcoming series on Apple+, The Me You Can’t See.
Susanna is set to reunite with former co-host Bill Turnbull as Good Morning Britain continues to try and fill Piers’ former presenting spot.
The pair worked together on an 11 year-long run on BBC Breakfast together, ending in 2014.
Bill said: "I am very pleased to be back presenting on GMB, especially as I get to be reunited with my old pal Susanna,"
Susanna admitted that she was equally "delighted".
She added: "He has been a beloved favourite of breakfast television viewers for years and a good friend of mine."
Bill and Susanna worked together on Good Morning Britain in February of last year, making it the first time they had worked together in six years.
