American Horror Story returns tomorrow (August 25) on Hulu, with a new ensemble cast to spook viewers for another season. A surprising lack of details has been revealed about the upcoming season, with Hulu clearly wanting to keep the season’s surprises hidden. Express.co.uk has brought together all the details on the new line-up.
Who is in the cast of season 10?
Season 10 is set to be something different for the series after showrunner Ryan Murphy revealed the theme for the upcoming season.
Titled American Horror Story: Double Feature, the new season looks to be split into two halves, “one by sea… one by sand,” according to the official synopsis.
The posters for the season heavily feature aliens, so it is likely the show will be leaning into its science fiction and cosmic horror elements.
It is worth noting that the cast members listed below are primarily the actors appearing in the first half of the season, according to Murphy on Instagram.
How this will work exactly and who else will appear remains to be seen, but Express.co.uk has compiled all the main confirmed cast members.
Series mainstay Frances Conroy is back again but it is unclear what role she will be playing this time around.
In the trailer, she seems to be some kind of a soothsayer influencing the other characters, but the shots of her are deliberately vague.
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is leading the series, being one of the first stars to be shown in character back in February.
Showrunner Murphy sent out an Instagram post of Culkin, with the caption: “Something wicked this way comes. American Horror Story Season 10.”
The image sent the internet into a spiral at the time, showing Culkin off with a shaved hairstyle and flamboyant fur coat.
Leslie Grossman is also returning again to join in on the two-part season.
Having first appeared in AHS back in 2017, the star has since gone on to feature in shows such as Love, Victor, The Goldbergs, and Doc McStuffins.
As she has already been revealed to be in the cast, it is likely Grossman will mainly appear in the first half of the season, judging by Murphy’s comments.
Billie Lourd, daughter of the late Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, will be making her fourth appearance in the series.
Much like the rest of the cast, her character is shrouded in mystery, though she will once again play a prominent role in season 10.
After missing the last season of the show, Sarah Paulson’s inclusion is big news for fans.
Her addition to the cast is something of a wildcard, as it is always hard to predict the type of character she will play.
As she missed the previous season, there is no doubt Murphy has some big plans for Paulson’s character this season.
Right off the back of appearing in Marvel’s WandaVision and HBO’s Mare of Easttown comes Evan Peters in a major role of season 10.
He features prominently in the trailer and appears to have some kind of connection to Conroy’s character.
Peters continues to rise as an actor, so it is likely he will play an integral role throughout the season.
Another mainstay in the franchise, Adina Porter has been starring in the series since 2011.
She is back once more after having recently starred in shows such as The 100, Outer Banks, and The Morning Show.
Much like Peters, Porter is expected to play a major role in the season, though it isn’t known if she is friend or foe.
By far featuring the most in the trailer, Lily Rabe appears to be one of the central characters of the season.
With 10 years of experience on the show, she is no stranger to the twists and turns of the series.
Rabe is a prolific actress, recently starring in The Underground Railroad, Tell Me Your Secrets, and The Undoing.
Making her debut in season eight, Angelica Ross is back once more.
She also appears to have a connection to Conroy’s character, but just how their dynamic unfolds remains to be seen.
Outside of AHS, fans will recognise Ross from Pose, where she played the character of Candy.
Finn Wittrock appears to be a struggling author this season, seeking help with his writing.
It looks like he will come under the influence of Conroy and Peters during the season, as he turns to them for help.
After season 10, Wittrock is set to star in DC’s Green Lantern TV series as Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lantern heroes.
American Horror Story season 10 will premiere on August 25 on Hulu in the USA. The UK release is set for October on Star on Disney Plus.
