Body coach Joe Wicks nominated for OBE after YouTube lockdown workouts with wife Rosie – The Sun

FITNESS star Joe Wicks could be in line for an OBE after hundreds of fans put his name forward.

The Body Coach, 33, has raised more than £350,000 for the NHS through his YouTube classes in lockdown.

He even roped in wife Rosie Jones to demonstrate his PE With Joe workouts when he was sidelined with a hand injury.

Now an army of fans has nominated him for the summer Honours List.

A source said: “Joe has become a household name since lockdown started and he’s become a figurehead in isolation because of the PE classes he puts on every morning.

“Hundreds of requests putting his name forward for an OBE have been handed to the Honours committee.

"Many have been written by children who think Joe is fantastic.

“Those around Joe think the chances of him getting a nod are high, especially given the praise he’s had from No10 and the fact that Prince William’s three children — George, Charlotte and Louis — all do the class daily.

“Getting an honour from the Queen would be the icing on the cake for Joe.

"He had no idea his classes would prove so popular.”

Joe married former Page 3 girl Rosie, 29, last year. They have two children.

His OBE chances emerged in the same week that it was confirmed Captain Tom Moore was going to be knighted.

The Sun revealed the 100-year-old war veteran had his honour fast-tracked after raising more than £33million for the NHS by doing 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden.

Capt Tom said at the time: “I am delighted. I thought this can’t be true.

"I certainly never anticipated that this letter would arrive for me.”
