Corey tormented as he is exposed for Seb's murder by singing Stu in Corrie

Homeless man Stu made another appearance in tonight’s episodes of Coronation Street as Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) realised he’s quite literally holding the answer to getting Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) sent down for Seb’s murder.

A few weeks ago, Stu entered Speed Daal after Zeedan’s (Qasim Akhtar) attempts at money making for the restaurant went wrong.

Happily helping himself to the spare food, Stu was holding a Weatherfield County backpack – the same one Corey dumped in the river on the night of Seb and Nina’s attack.

During Super Soap Week, viewers saw a brief glimpse of Stu again, asleep outside in the pouring rain, holding the same bag.

Tonight, Stu entered the shop which led to Asha realising he was holding Corey’s bag.

Asha and Nina’s attempts at locating Stu didn’t go to plan tonight, but that was because the homeless character was overhearing everything, conjuring up an idea.

As Corey walked home from training, Stu interrupted him holding a guitar.

Stu successfully got Corey’s attention by singing (yes, singing) about being a murderer.

‘Corey Brent, is a gent, I followed you from training! He ain’t no murderer! He couldn’t be furtherer!’, he sang, happily strumming his guitar.

Corey knew Stu had him in a tricky position when he said he had watched Corey throw his bag in the river that night and moments later, he fished it out.

Stu blackmailed Corey, telling him he could have his bag pack – for a price.

But will Corey go through with it?

Could Stu save Corey from prison?

Or will he have a change of heart and help Nina and Asha?
