Sam Blakeman (played by June Riordan) has struggled to fit into his new home with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) after the death of his mum Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac). Despite Nick’s efforts to connect with his son, will he decide the best he can do for Sam is to rehome him away from the memories of his mother’s death in Coronation Street?

In upcoming scenes, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) presents Sam with an old telescope.

The funeral director understands the young boy has been struggling as he adapts to living in Leanne and Nick’s flat.

Tragically, the flat was the location of the fatal shooting of Natasha by Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

Sam is thrilled with the piece of equipment until he notices the smashed memory jar on the side.

George sets up the telescope on the balcony for the youngster while Nick and Leanne look on.

Nick is pleased to see his son happy but worries about the memory note Sam left in the jar.

The grieving schoolboy wrote a message about wishing his last words to his mum had been different.

Nick, Leanne and Sam head off to their first session with the psychologist.

Will the couple be able to help Sam find some closure?

When they return, George turns up and reveals Sam left him a note requesting his company for some stargazing.

The funeral director shares his love of star-gazing with Sam making him laugh.

Nick watches on wishing he were the one who could make his son smile.

Little is known about Natasha’s family and the concerned father may try to reach out to her relatives.

If he finds a family member who is able to bond with Sam, Nick may decide his son is better off elsewhere.
