EMMERDALE'S Matty Barton is set to turn violent as he hides a shocking secret in upcoming episodes of the ITV soap.
The character – played by Ash Palmisciano as the programme's first transgender star – doesn't appear to be having a good week.
Matty is acting very moody in scenes due to air on Emmerdale early next week – and he's got his friends talking.
But when Matty gets wind that Amy Wyatt has been asking Ryan Stocks about it, he snaps and loses his temper.
A chair goes flying after he kicks it as his anger spirals out of control at his friends as he does his best to keep his feelings to himself.
Moira Dingle does her best to appease Matty, aware of what is fuelling his anger – and she implores him to be honest with Amy.

"She even gives The Viv a run for her money! Matty and Amy have a great day, maybe too much fun resulting in Amy drinking too much."

She makes a shocking discovery about her cousin Chas Dingle and Emmerdale businessman Al Chapman.
Charity Dingle (portrayed by Emma Atkins) has had to deal with her son being on the wrong side of the law in recent weeks after he stalked and terrorised his former girlfriend Chloe.
The youngster was sentenced to three months in prison earlier in June, 2022, for his actions, leaving his mother to pick up the pieces – and fans believe there's a chance he could bump into someone important behind bars.
While she waits to welcome him back to the village, Charity gets on with her life but makes a surprising discovery in upcoming episodes of the Yorkshire-based soap.
As she walks onto Emmerdale's Main Street, the Woolpack landlady spots Al Chapman (Harry Potter actor Michael Wildman) having an animated conversation with her cousin Chas (Lucy Pargeter).
