What happened between Kate and Tully?
Firefly Lane arrived on Netflix on February 3 and the debut season was made up of 10 episodes.
The series is based on two women who have been best friends since they were 14 years old.
Their friendship is tested in all different ways, but the ending suggested something huge ripped the pair apart.
The series finale included a flash forward which showed Kate at her father’s funeral.
Tully showed up for the funeral but fans were surprised when she was not welcomed with open arms by Kate.

Something had happened between the two friends previously which ultimately ended their friendship.
If fans have read the book they will know the argument stemmed from an appearance on Tully’s talk show.
Kate was going through difficulties with her teenage daughter Marah (Yael Yurman) and they were invited onto the show to talk through their issues.
However one of the friends says something to upset the other and they ended up having a huge bust-up on air.
While many viewers would hope this was water under the bridge by the time of Kate’s dad’s funeral, they are wrong.
The argument was enough to prevent the friends from speaking for years, which is why Tully was shunned at the funeral.
Meanwhile, fans are still waiting to find out the fate of Johnny (Ben Lawson) who had gone to Iraq as a war correspondent.
While on the job he was caught up in a landmine explosion and his body was seen laying close by.
Viewers are keen to know if Johnny is still alive as he had just rekindled his relationship with Kate.
They have taken to Twitter to discuss the ending, with one fan saying: “All I want from Firefly Lane is to bring Johnny and Kate together for God’s sake!”

Another said: “I need a second season of Firefly Lane. I want to know what happened to their friendship.
“I want to know if Johnny died. I just want loose ends tied! I’m hooked in this melodrama. #FireflyLane”
The series has been described as being in the same vein as Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias.
Friendship is at the heart of the show but there is proof the love between friends is not always unconditional.
One Reddit fan said: “Show is great. Was expecting to hate it but really got into it. Script was strong, performances were great and there was loads of chemistry between the cast. I sort of want to see a show just about them as kids.”
Regarding Kate and Tully’s fall out, there is always a chance the TV adaptation will show a different cause.
Netflix is yet to officially renew the series for season two, so fans will have to wait and see if an explanation comes to light.
The book’s blurb on author Hannah’s website reads: “For thirty years, Tully and Kate buoy each other through life, weathering the storms of friendship—jealousy, anger, hurt, resentment.
“They think they’ve survived it all until a single act of betrayal tears them apart…and puts their courage and friendship to the ultimate test.”
The book is still available to buy if fans wish to get ahead of the crowd and find out more about what really happens.
