GMBs Richard Madeley makes cheeky dig at Boris Johnson after Lorraine snub

Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley couldn't help but make a cheeky dig at the Prime Minister on the ITV breakfast show this morning.

When the show did their usual crossover to Lorraine Kelly to find out what the headlines for her show would be, Richard quipped: "Who are you again?"

Lorraine giggled and knew exactly what Richard was referring to.

Richard, 65, is part of a rotation of presenters brought in to replace Piers Morgan and he alternates with other famous faces such as Adil Ray, Richard Bacon and Martin Lewis.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister appeared on Good Morning Britain for the first time in five years.

In a chat that some viewers branded a "car crash," Boris spoke to Susanna Reid for 15 minutes before the ITV host handed over to Lorraine, whose show airs after GMB.

Despite the popular broadcaster being on air for 30 years, Boris appeared unsure on who she was.

Susanna said: "Lorraine is waiting to take up all the issues you have brought up in this interview.

Boris then replied: "Who's Lorraine?"

A surprised Susanna repeated: "Who's Lorraine? Lorraine is a legend."

As the camera panned over to the ITV studio, Lorraine said: "Wow thank you Susanna. A masterclass in a political interview."

The comment caused an uproar on Twitter.

One fan tweeted: "Out of this whole interview.. this has tipped me over the edge. 'Who’s Lorraine' How could he!?"

Another added: "Not knowing who Lorraine is might be what finally gets him out!"

A third person posted: "'Who’s Lorraine?' Oh Boris what a way to end your man of the people interview with GMB’s Susannah Reid.

While a fourth social media user said: "Boris saying 'Who's Lorraine?' As GMB cuts to Lorraine… thats enough #GMB for 1 year…."
