Happy Valley final trailer gives fans goosebumps with Catherine and Tommy showdown
Happy Valley has released an explosive trailer for the final ever episode of the hit BBC One police drama.
The last ever episode will air next Sunday 5th February at 9pm and in an explosive spoiler clip released ahead of the final instalment, it teases a showdown between enemies Catherine Cawood and Tommy Lee Royce, leaving fans with "goosebumps".
The clip starts with Catherine looking suspiciously at a property while grandson Ryan Cawood, who has been chatting to dad Tommy over his gaming system after his escape from prison, is grilled by the police.
Catherine is then heard warning: "He's still out there, he's going to be angry and even more desperate and dangerous."
The trailer cuts to Tommy breaking into what appears to be Catherine's home as the police sergeant is then seen gingerly entering her property with a taser gun.
It then cuts to Catherine's co-workers at the police station running out in panic, appearing to respond to an urgent incident.
The chilling trailer ends with a bloodied Tommy appearing to attack someone in the countryside while the final scenes see Catherine breaking down in tears.
Happy Valley fans were quick to react to the scenes as one person tweeted: "Teaser trailer for next week. I AM SCREAMING/CRYING. #HappyValley."
A different account put: "I’ve already got goosebumps #HappyValley."
Another show watcher said: "Sorry to be that person but…Just seen a trailer for the last episode of #HappyValley It looks AMAZING!! I can’t wait for Sunday #SorryNotSorry."
While a different viewer added: "I’ve decided I’m just going to watch this teaser trailer on a constant loop until Sunday… #HappyValley."
It comes as fans think they have predicted a huge death twist in the BBC One drama's final ever episode.
Happy Valley airs next Sunday 5th February at 9pm on BBC One.
