Hollyoaks heist horror as Tony and Luke commit a crime to save The Hutch

Hollyoaks legends Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) are desperate to do whatever it takes to save The Hutch, and in upcoming scenes, they set out to stage robbery.

Tony has been worried sick about his beloved restaurant’s financial situation over the past couple of months. The Hutch was hit hard during the pandemic, and he’s been struggling to get it back on it’s feet.

Following Diane’s (Alex Fletcher) actions, the mainstay does everything he can to rectify the situation, as he tries to get credit from their supplier.

Unfortunately, he’s unsuccessful, leaving Diane feeling guilty. Desperate to help, Diane calls the supplier herself, but she ends up making the situation worse, as she leaves Tony with a £5,000 bill and no way to pay it off!

Luke, meanwhile, is adamant that The Hutch can be saved if he and Tony work together, and as the week progresses, he comes up with a plan that he hopes will pay off.

The duo decide on a pizza-making day, but in spite of things getting off to a decent start, the plan falls apart when Tony realises that he’s been underselling them.

Luke, however, has a plan B up his sleeve, as after having a word with Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint), he suggests to Tony that they stage a robbery for The Hutch’s insurance money!

Tony reluctantly agrees to the plan, but when Luke doesn’t come home, Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) and Zara (Kelly Condron) are left concerned, and that concern soon turns to shock when they discover what’s happened!

Left with little choice, Tony comes clean to Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) about The Hutch’s financial issues, before later opening up to Diane, Nancy (Jessica Fox) and Mandy Richardson (Sarah Jayne Dunn) about everything.

Mandy is livid that she’s going to lose her only source of income, but she soon realises that arguing is trivial when she realises how heartbroken Cindy is about Luke’s problems.

Over a final meal in The Hutch, the friends share memories.

No, you’re crying.
