Escape to the Chateau DIY is just one spin-off of the ever-popular main series, but this time Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree take a backseat. While Strawbridge narrates the show, Stephanie Jarvis has become the face of the series for many fans. Express.co.uk has all the information on the DIY presenter.

How old is Stephanie Jarvis in Escape to the Chateau DIY?

Since premiering in 2018, Stephanie Jarvis has been a regular of the program, slowly becoming the main face of the series over the course of its six-season run.

She shares much of the same experience of Strawbridge and Adoree, having left London 15 years ago to renovate a French chateau.

Now 45-years-old, the presenter originally purchased a 20-bedroom sixteenth-century chateau in Crozon-sur-Vauvre in France.

In fact, she still runs the property today, as it now operates as a B&B for anyone looking for a luxury French getaway.

Outside of appearing on DIY, Jarvis works as a vlogger and runs her own website – The Chateau Diaries.

On her website’s blog, the star explained how she originally got involved with the DIY show in the first place.

She joined the show with her family, explaining how the series just “sounded fun” and she agreed to participate “on a whim“.

Jarvis explained: “We all expected to be a tiny part of an obscure show on an even more obscure television channel, and were surprised when we first learnt that it was to be a Channel 4 spin-off series from Dick & Angel’s legendary ‘Escape to the Château’!”

Jarvis originally bought her chateau with her ex-partner, with the presenter admitting it was something she always wanted to do.

The star added: “There’s no doubt in my mind that this is what I was meant to do with my life.

“I love nothing more than bringing this magnificent building back to life, welcoming people to our home, and letting them discover the magic of this place.”

The star’s blogs can be seen on her YouTube channel, which shares the same name as the website.

On the channel, Jarvis shows off various chateaus along with answering questions from fans about her life.

The presenter also shares updates with her fans on Instagram, offering even more insight into the life of a chateau owner.

These posts have helped hold fans over until season six dropped on September 27.

While specific release dates haven’t been confirmed, Channel 4 commissioned new episodes of Escape to the Chateau and its spin-offs throughout 2021 and 2022.

There are only three more episodes set to air for DIY season 6, with the final release on October 8.

The release date of the next main series of Escape to the Chateau has not been confirmed by Channel 4.

For fans who are looking to scratch that chateau itch, Jarvis’s blog provides further insights into the day-to-day goings-on of chateau owners.

Escape to the Chateau DIY is available to watch on Channel 4 and All4.
