I’m A Celeb fans slam ‘fake’ trial as they work out how producers are making them scarier | The Sun

FANS of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here have slammed the "fake" trials after noticing how producers are making them scarier.

Last night, Owen Warner was seen taking part in the Boiling Point challenge – which saw him climb through tunnels inhabited by snakes.

Owen, 23, was seen coming face to face with large snakes as he did his best to battle through the trial before being pulled out early.

The Hollyoaks star – who vowed to do better than Chris Moyles in the repeated trial – went on to win an impressive nine stars.

Despite Owen looking terrified throughout the trial, fans at home were not convinced it was as scary as it looked on camera.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed how the snakes on screen didn't match up with snake sounds being played on top of the dramatic music.

Fans flooded Twitter to hit out that the snake sound effects had been added in as part of the editing to "make it scarier".

One fan wrote: "The fact that Owen is smashing it, ITV feel the need to add fake snake hiss sound effects to try and up the drama."

Another chimed in: "The snake sound effect is so fake."

A third agreed: "Swear they just add the snake hissing sound effects in post. Surely they don’t sound like this?"

Last night, Owen left fans puzzled after making a big blunder during the latest Bushtucker Trial – dubbed Boiling Point.

Former Radio 1 DJ Chris only managed to get one star for camp – and Owen was determined to better that in the repeated trial.

But despite speeding through with a set of spanners, Owen announced: "Get me out of here! Get me out of this room!"

In the ITV1 show's history, celebs who shout "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!" are pulled out and walk away with zero stars, no matter how many they had already gained.

When Owen shouted to get him out, however, I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly just laughed.

"What did you say?" Ant shouted as Dec jokingly added: "You're not saying that, are you?!"

Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to react to Owen's mistake – as they begged him not to say the dreaded phrase by accident.

Although Chris only managed to get one star during the Boiling Point trial, Owen powered through his fears and took back nine to camp.
