Danny Miller has shared an emotional video with fans after his final scenes as Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle aired on ITV.
The 30-year-old actor, who is currently taking part in I'm A Celebrity, recorded a video of himself in tears as he left the fictional village for the final time.
Alongside a clip of himself in tears while sitting in his car, a message read: "As you may be aware Danny has made some life changing decisions this year. But the biggest decision he made came in the decision to leave Emmerdale.
"Over the past 13 years Emmerdale has been like a second home to Danny.
"Having grown up with Aaron we have all cried, laughed, felt his heartbreak and sadness as Danny has portrayed some of the shows toughest storylines and I hope you agree he has done them justice.
"Cast and crew have become like a second family to Danny and as the video says he can’t thank them enough, but most importantly he would like to thank Aaron fans for sharing the journey with Danny and Aaron for all these years.
"And here’s hoping we see Danny back on our screens soon after the show doing what he loves most. Goodbye for now Aaron Dingle."
In the video, Danny explained that he'd had to "pull over" after leaving the farm because he had become so overwhelmed with emotion after saying goodbye to his former colleagues.
In tears and speaking on camera he said: "So guys that is a wrap for the day, a wrap on Aaron and a wrap on Danny.
"You're just going to have to bare with me because I'll probably blubber my way through this.
"If you've finished watching the episode then you're probably bored of me already but it has been a very emotional day and this place Emmerdale, the cast and crew have been particularly amazing for me."
The dad-of-one went on: "I've learnt so much here and I've made so many life-long friends here and I already miss them."
Turning the camera to show his surroundings, the actor added: "I don't know if you can see that?
"But I've literally had to pull over as I've left the village because it was just quite an emotional day for us."
The video was taken after Danny had filmed his final scene at Emmerdale but before he'd entered I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
He went on to thank many of his co-stars for their support over the years while offering up an apology to "anyone that he'd lied to" on the lead up to heading into Gwyrch Castle in Wales.
The ITV star joked with fans that he'd signed a confidentially contract with the broadcasting giant and "didn't want to get sued" which is why he'd held his silence.
Danny explained in the heartfelt clip that leaving the soap had been a very "difficult decision to make".
But after a number on depth chats with his fiancé Steph – who had welcomed their first child into the world just weeks before he'd entered the I'm A Celeb camp – they decided together that it would be the best move for their family.
