Jeremy Clarkson will soon return to screens with another instalment of The Grand Tour. The motoring expert will be back with his co-star’s James May and Richard Hammond for The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage A Trois. However, Jeremy has recently reflected on the success of his other Amazon Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm. The show was first released earlier this year and saw the petrolhead explore the challenging world of farming. Jeremy’s since confessed he thought the series would be a “disappointment” to his regular fans, but was pleasantly surprised when it became an instant hit.

Launched earlier this year, Clarkson’s Farm showed Jeremy venturing into country life as he attempts to run his very own farm.

In the series he teamed up with local experts in an attempt to grow crops on his land.

The Amazon Prime star opened up about the popularity of his farming show, which has already been commissioned for a second series.

When asked how he felt about the reaction to Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy replied: “It’s been a total crazy ride!”

The presenter revealed: “I wanted to try and make it serious, and it’s completely unscripted.

“I never know what we’re doing in the morning when we start farming. I’m farming today, and the film crew isn’t here.

“They’re coming on Wednesday, and I have no clue what I’m doing on Wednesday, because I don’t know what the weather’s going to be like.

“But, it has been extremely successful and I’m extremely proud of it,” he confessed.

Jeremy admitted he never expected his regular fan base to enjoy the farming series.

He remarked: “I thought it would serve as a gentle disappointment to The Grand Tour fans, but everyone seems to like it.

“Little kids, grannies. Farmers absolutely love it,” he added.

The presenter made it clear he wanted the show to give viewers an honest insight into the world of farming.

He explained: “I set out to make the nuts and bolts of farming. This is what farming is like.

“It’s not a ‘crash, band, wallop’ film at all. It’s me trying my hardest to learn how to farm, which I still am,” Jeremy added.

One local expert featured in the series is Kaleb Cooper, who shot to fame when the show was first released.

The young farmer became popular with viewers for his quick wit and banter with Jeremy.

Giving an update on how his co-star is doing, Jeremy said: “Kaleb is planning a new hairstyle, and he’s had his first c**k-up.

“If Google Earth take any pictures now, he’s going to look like a right plonker, because he’s missed a bit.

“Gerald [Cooper] thinks it’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened,” he revealed.

Jeremy has begun filming for the second series of Clarkson’s Farm, however it’s currently unknown exactly when it’ll be released.

The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage A Trois launches Friday December 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
