Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two, the Loose Women panellist opened up on how it felt to miss a week of the competition before she gave a shout out to her professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima. She revealed to host Rylan Clark-Neal how much she had missed working with her “gorgeous” 27-year-old co-star.
As Rylan was about to wrap up the interview with Judi, the 41-year-old cut in to ask: “Can I just say to my gorgeous partner, I missed him so much!”
She continued: “He’s even more gorgeous!” Rylan, 33, replied: “He’s a handsome one, isn’t he?”
The pair became the second couple this year show was forced to pull out of a live show due to a COVID-19 diagnosis.
In week two, Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden went through the same experience but luckily returned to the next show as eager as ever.
There had been some concern around Judi’s recovery as the presenter updated fans from her bed just days ago.
Posting a clip to her Instagram followers, she admitted: “I don’t even know what day it is. Some kind of motivation day
“I just want to say to you guys, ‘Rona is real.
“I give thanks that I was doing a little exercise and dancing.
“I feel like I’m handling it much better than I would have had if I hadn’t been doing little exercise and a little sweat.”
Despite her optimism, she revealed she couldn’t smell taste.
However, it seems the comedian is ready to perform again after coming out of isolation, and Rylan was eager to catch up with her on the BBC show.
“Judi, we are so thrilled to see you back!” he commented, adding: “First and foremost, how are you?”
“Babes, I’m alright. I’m here you know, got through it. First couple of days were rough but you know my mindset was just being back on that dancefloor and just making sure I’m back and everybody’s safe and I’m safe, and that was the main thing.”
“What’s it like to get back out there?” The presenter asked.
Judi answered: “Honestly babes, when I stepped on that dancefloor, it was like, ‘This is where I’m supposed to be’.
“I’ve missed it so much and it just brings back all the amazing memories over these weeks.
“And it’s Halloween Week! I’m so happy to be back.”
Teasing her costume for the upcoming show, she said: “Let me tell you something, everything’s tight!
“Everything’s 80s! Okay, I’m just putting it like that.”
Graziano and Judi will be hoping their return to the dancefloor will result in them missing out on the dreaded dance-off.
In weeks three and four, the pair had to take part in the dance-off to keep their spot in the contest.
Will Halloween Week prove one step too far or will Judi rocket up the leaderboard?
